"Issyk-Kul 2018. Libraries and Democratization of Society"

The Library and Information Consortium of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the International and civic organizations conducts the 19th Annual International Conference “Issyk-Kul 2018. Libraries and Democratization of Society.”

The Conference will be held at the “Issyk-Kul – Aurora” resort at the Issyk-Kul Lake on October 1-5, 2018.

There are a number of planned round table discussions and presentations on the following topics: 

• Role of Libraries in the Developmento of Modern Society and Preservation of Cultural Heritage;
• Libraries in the Year of Regional Development;
• New Information and Communication Environment: New Library, New Services;
• Role of Electronic Information in promotion of Culture, Science and Education;
• Development of University Libraries in Digital Globalization.
