14th International Conference "Issyk Kul 2013. Libraries and Democratization of Society" The Library and Information Consortium of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the International and Civic Organizations conducts the 14th International Conference "Issyk Kul 2013. Libraries and Democratization of Society." The Conference will be held at the "Issyk Kul - Aurora" resort at the Issyk Kul Lake on October 1-5, 2013. The main topic of the Conference is "Libraries in Social and Media Space." Planned organization of sections, round table discussions and presentations on the following topics: - Electronic Information for Development: Role and Interaction between Libraries,
- Government, and Civil Society;
- Role of Social Media in Library Activities;
- Continuing Professional Education of Librarians in the era of digital communications;
- New models of public libraries;
- Role of libraries in the information support of science, education and innovation;
- American Corners of Central Asia: development and improvement of the partnership.
Call for papers Your reports and speech texts or subjects you can send till August 1, 2013. Organizational Committee of the Conference is authorized to include accepted reports in sections, Round Tables or to move in to stand category. Terms of participation You are kindly requested to complete the registration form and send it by fax/e-mail or register online through our website http://conference.bik.org.kg/en/registration The fee for the whole period of the Conference includes: - round-trip from Bishkek to the Conference's site;
- participation in all Conference activities;
- residence in the "Issyk Kul - Aurora" sanatorium during the Conference;
- three meals a day;
- coffee breaks;
- Using pool and other treatment procedures of sanatorium "Issyk Kul - Aurora"
- conference materials.
Registration fee for the whole period (i.e. from October 1 till October 5, 2013) of the Conference depends on the room category. And the following fee is fixed: - Early registration fee (before August 1, 2013):
