The Library and Information Consortium of the Kyrgyz Republic conducts the 13th International Conference "Issyk-Kul 2012. Libraries and Democratization of Society."

 

The Conference will be held at the "Issyk Kul - Aurora" resort at the Issyk Kul Lake on October 1-5, 2012.

 

The main topic of the 13th Conference "Issyk-Kul 2012: Libraries and Democratization of Society" is "Librariy Resources for Education for Sustainable Development of Society"

 

Planned organization of sections, round table discussions and presentations on the following topics: 

  • Open Access to Information Resources;
  • Multicultural Library Service;
  • Social Partnership with Local Community to Improve the Quality of Life;
  • American Corners in Central Asian Libraries;
  • Creating and Using Information in an Electronic Environment;
  • Libraries to the Year of the Family, Peace and Harmony in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Organizational Committee of the Conference is authorized to include accepted reports in sections, roundtables or to move in to stand category.

 

Terms of participation

 

You are kindly requested to complete the registration form and send it by fax/e-mail or register online through our website http://conference.bik.org.kg/en/registration

 

The fee for the whole period of the Conference includes:

  • round-trip from Bishkek to the Conference's site;
  • participation in all Conference activities;
  • residence in the  "Issyk Kul - Aurora" sanatorium during the Conference;
  • three meals a day;
  • coffee breaks;
  • Using pool and other treatment procedures of sanatorium "Issyk Kul - Aurora"
  • conference materials.

 

Registration fee for the whole period (i.e. from October 1 till October 5, 2012) of the Conference depends on the room category. And the following fee is fixed:
